About Me

Storytelling has always been my biggest passion. I have gravitated toward outlets of storytelling, both academically and personally, learning to express myself creatively through music and dance from a young age. But above all, developing my writing and critical thinking skills has remained my top priority. During my junior year of high school, I had the honor of receiving the school’s Junior English Prize for outstanding work in written and spoken expression. Being recognized for my achievement in a skillset that I had spent so much of my time curating further affirmed my passion for storytelling. Though I have never been the most extroverted or outgoing person in the room, in my writing I was able to distill the chaos of everything I observed in the world into something people could understand and that could impact the way they view something, even if it is something small.

Since beginning my undergraduate education at George Washington University, where I received a BA in English and Communication with a Minor in Applied Ethics, I've been able to further develop as reader, writer, and thinker. I also had the opportunity to apply my skills to my other passions of women's empowerment and mental health advocacy by taking on leadership positions as Director of Communications for the GW Women's Leadership Network and Director of Public Relations, and later Vice President for the GW Chapter of Active Minds. I ended my undergraduate career as my class's recipient of the Sylvia Speck Prize for exemplary academic achievement in English literature.

During college, I began my editorial career at Hearst Magazines as the Editorial Intern for E-Commerce and Gift Guides at Prevention Magazine, where I continued to freelance after graduating. I also gained experience in social media, branding, and public relations though various internships. In early 2025, I joined Business Insider as an Editorial Fellow on the Reviews team, where I've continued to develop my writing and editorial skills while helping launch a brand new Coupons vertical on Business Insider's site.
